Group Fitness

myFitness Waterloo offer’s a diverse range of multi-level Group Fitness classes to meet the needs of all participants. At myFitness Waterloo, our classes are included with your membership. Our classes are taught by certified instructors (many of whom of Sun Life employees) who share a passion for motivating and encouraging people to be active.

Our class includes early morning, lunch time, as well as late afternoon classes to meet or broad spectrum of schedules.

Class Descriptions 

TRIPLE THREAT: Triple Threat features the optimal mix of strength, cardio and core training. With three workouts in one, this is a great cross training option for busy people on the go!

TRX: This low-impact class will incorporate TRX strength building, stretching and flexibility all while experiencing the core stabilizing benefits of the TRX suspension bands. After a 30 minute class we will hit the foam rollers to relieve any tight and tender muscles to help with recovery and mobility. Please note class format might differ depending on attendance.

SPIN & STRENGTH: This indoor cycling class will increase your cardio and strength taking you through a series of flat roads, hills, sprints and drills, while incorporating a full body strength component to tone and increase muscular endurance off the bike.

BODY SCULPT: Body Sculpt is the total body strength class that shapes, tones, and strengthens your entire body.

POWER CYCLE: Power Cycle is the indoor cycling class with different terrains that put your endurance, strength, and speed to the test! This class is set to the rhythm of motivating music to blast calories and build aerobic fitness – fast.

HIIT: The High-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout that improves cardiovascular fitness, increases speed and maximizes calories burned. This workout focuses on muscle training, cardio and core work all using a HIIT format to get you results fast!

YOGA FUSION: This class is a fitness fusion that will challenge and relax you with a focus on balance and flexibility. Yoga Fusion is combination workout of Yoga, and Pilates. This class will build your flexibility, strength, and core all to music you love.

BOOTCAMP: Bootcamp is a class that mixes traditional callisthenic and body weight exercises with interval training and strength training. Get ready to push your body to its limits with this extreme full body strength and cardiovascular workout. Hooah!

TRX CIRCUIT: This low impact workout covers every major muscle group utilizing the unique TRX straps. TRX Circuit is a strength based class with a few cardio segments. This class is great for all fitness levels to challenge their core and balance!

CARDIO BOXING: This is a high-energy boxing-inspired workout. You’ll learn how to punch, kick and strike your way to superior fitness and strength all while using the music to push yourself further!

TONE IT UP & CORE: This class gives you the workout that you need for a stronger upper body while chiselling your waist line. Strengthen your abs, lower back and pelvic floor muscles AND get a total upper body workout all in one class.

BUTT & BELLY BOOTCAMP: Butt and Belly Bootcamp is a strength class that focuses on your lower body. This belly-busting, booty shaping, intensive class features a series of exercise combinations that target, you guessed it – your belly, butt, and thighs.

CIRCUIT CITY: Circuit City is a fast-paced class where you do one exercise at a station for 30 seconds to 1 minute and then move on to the next station. This will give attention to all major muscles and trigger a tabata like effect activating both fast and slow twitch muscle fibers. You will be sure to sweat!

downDAWG Yoga: downDAWG Yoga combines strength and yoga flow sequences, set to the beat of high energy hit music! This hybrid yoga class is designed to give you a heart pumping workout while increasing your strength, stability, mobility and balance. Learn how to move with ease and awareness within your own body. Keep your body guessing and leave feeling refreshed.

POP UP CLASSES: Pop-Up Classes are a new group fitness wildcard class designed to keep you on your toes. Pop-up Classes will be featured at the same time every week! Dance, Strength, Cardio – the possibilities are endless! The class type will be posted weekly, so keep your eye peeled. All participants interested must register to take the class.
