Live Fitness Classes

myFitness Virtual offer’s a diverse range of multi-level Group Fitness classes to meet the needs of all participants. At myFitness, our classes are included with your membership. Our classes are taught by certified instructors (many of whom of Sun Life employees) who share a passion for motivating and encouraging people to be active.

Our class includes early morning, lunchtime, as well as late afternoon classes to meet or a broad spectrum of schedules.

Class Descriptions

Upper Body Burn

45 minutes

This strength class works the entire upper body.  No impact required as we work through various upper body moves to tone and build muscles.  Weights are required for this class.

Tabata

30 minutes

This bodyweight class is a HIIT class using Tabata intervals. Enjoy 5 rounds with 8 moves, working in intervals of 20 sec of work with 10 sec of rest. Think you can’t get a good workout in 20 seconds? Give it a try and see!

Lower Body Burn

45 minutes

This strength class works the entire lower body.  No impact required as we work through various lower body moves to tone and build muscles.  Weights are required for this class.

HIIT The Weights

30 minutes

Grab your weights and get ready for a high intensity strength class to torch calories and get your entire body working!  There are 5 moves all using weights – whole body, core, cardio, lower body and upper body repeated 4 times for a choice of 30 seconds work/30 seconds rest OR 45 seconds work/15 seconds rest.

Tai Chi for Beginners

30 minutes

For everyone – all levels of fitness/activity

Purpose: To achieve balance of the body and mind – as one’s lifestyle: both Inner (Chi) and Outer (form) body; to cultivate the Chi (or Qi) through graceful, slow movements accompanied by deep breathing and guided imagery; to learn the practice, so you can continue on your own every day – twice a day, 20 minutes each time; Benefits may include decrease in stress, anxiety and depression; improved mood and energy; improved flexibility, balance and agility.

HIIT

30 minutes

 The High-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout that improves cardiovascular fitness, increases speed and maximizes calories burned. This workout focuses on muscle training, cardio and core work all using a HIIT format to get you results fast!

Body Sculpt

30 minutes

This full-body class uses weights & household items (towel, pillow, chair) to work the entire body. This class is lower impact, ideal for those who want a full-body workout with or without plyometrics!

Cardio Boxing

30 minutes

This is a high-energy boxing-inspired workout. You’ll learn how to punch, kick and strike your way to superior fitness and strength all while using the music to push yourself further!

BUTT & BELLY BURN

30 minutes

Feel the burn in the butt and belly in this bodyweight, strength-focused class.  Butt & Belly burn will have you hitting high reps to help sculpt the glutes, legs and core muscles by the end – perfect for those who want a love impact class with lots of muscle burn.

Full Body 45

45 minutes

Get ready to sweat and feel strong.  This class changes the style each week, and focuses on a Full Body workout, designed to challenge every muscle group – without the use of any weights!  Enjoy this 45 minute session.

POP-UP!

30 minutes

Pop-Up Classes are a new group fitness wildcard class designed to keep you on your toes.  Classes will be featured at the same time every week!  Barre, Strength, Cardio – the possibilities are endless!  The class type will be posted weekly on Instagram and Face Book!

Stretch Breaks

15 minutes

Stretch breaks are focused on reducing pain and discomfort associated with being seated all day long.  Our desk worker first approach means you will feel relief from back, neck, shoulder and wrist pain while releasing stiffness in the legs too.

Yoga Fusion

45 minutes

This class is a fitness fusion that will challenge and relax you with a focus on balance and flexibility. Yoga Flow is combination workout of Yoga, and Pilates. This class will build your flexibility, strength, and core all to music you love.

Zumba

30 minutes

We take the “work” out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you’ll see why Zumba® Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise.

Restore

20 minutes

Flow-through this restorative yoga-inspired class. Move through postures and stretches to help you get back that nimble feeling!
